IT Application Support Analyst - SQL Server - Near Slough, Berkshire
Application Support Analyst with skills in SQL Server (Development & Administration) and intranet*internet application developments in PERL on MS platforms is sought for our client who is a multi-faceted high-technology company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets a diverse range of microelectronic and test and measurement products. The products are in worldwide use, supporting communication systems, networks and automatic test systems.
Reporting to the IT Manager of the IT department based at Burnham, the post holder will be required to support the Company databases, SQL Server and the day-to-day operations, management, maintenance, and development of both third-party and in-house developed business software applications with particular emphasis on those based on Internet technologies and database management systems. Ensure the delivery of Applications Development as specified by the IT strategic plan.
Essential experience and qualifications are required in the following MS SQL Server systems (Development and Administration); Intranet*Internet application developments in PERL on MS platforms; of implementing changes to infrastructure & introducing new systems. The candidate must demonstrate excellent skill set in the following organisation skills; Pro-active approach; Team player; Ability to act on own initiative and be a self starter; Be able to train IT staff members and end-users; Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desirable skills include European and*or International experience; Experience of working for a large US owned company; Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley compliance .
